Frances Lord
Frances has a BA(Hons) Business Studies and an MBA from Manchester Business School. The MBA provided her with the opportunity to widen her business knowledge from specialisation level to a general understanding of the complex ways in which a business/organisation operates. Since then she has set up and run two successful start up companies and acted as a consultant and mentor to numerous companies throughout Fife.
A strong marketing, sales and business development background gained through working in a number of industry sectors has culminated in an in-depth understanding of both company growth stages and product lifestyles. This experience provides her with the experience and knowledge to be able to make a positive difference to any organisation with which she comes into contact. In particular she can offer strong mentoring skills, fully backed up with goal orientated action plans as well as strong research and analysis skills for any business sector be it public or private.
Her consultative style is results orientated believing firmly that all projects or changes should originate from the strategic plan. Able to assist in the development of a strategic plan and the writing of it if required, Frances will help you to understand in what direction your company can grow, profits can be increased or in the case of many public organisations where efficiencies can be made or service levels increased. Once a strategic plan has been developed Frances believes that this is where the work starts, ensuring that the plan is implemented within an agreed timescale and to agreed budgets. It is all too easy to write the plan and put it on the shelf, the real challenge is to make it work and be able to measure the results.
